ok, so i did a couple of searches, was having trouble finding what i was looking for...
i do have the magna workshop thingy - but my computer isnt liking it at the moment...
found this thread here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36905&highlight=door+trim+removal) but i tried levering off the trim... but its not coming off...
i found screw in the side window vent, removed the screw and door handle surround, and the in the door handle thingy under the lil cover.
i even went to the trouble of removing the lense on the curtosy light to see if it made any difference...
is that all there is to it - just lever the trim off from the bottom?
just them clips are extremely tight and hard to get off (that and im a weakling haha)
i wanna put Xi under door lights in my car.. had them sitting on my desk now for 2 months.. time to install them..
any additional help would be appreciated please :)
i just dont want break anything

If a door trim has never been off before since the factory they are always in tight I would suggest if you can try getting your hand or fingers behind the panel and finding the locations of the plugs so you know where to use force and if you can keep your hand or fingers there to help push outwards while using the other hand to pull but gently.
That's my 2c.

Yep, 3 screws mentioned (air socket, handle & armrest door pull area). You will also have to remove the surround for the door handle.
There should be a small gap in the bottom of the trim between the metal and the trim. Place a cloth covered screwdriver in there and lever it out so as not to scratch any paint.
Lift the trim off after it is unclipped to avoid the tweeters.

ok figured it out... requires a good solid leverage to pop the trim off.
result of todays fun.... i dont have the plugs to plug in Xi under door lights... :(
was going to pull the drivers trim off... but after the FUN of trying to get the trim back ONto the passengers door and not have the tweeter cover coming off as well... it was trying... got there in the end...
found it almost quite theraputic in a way - literally bashing the door trim to get it to clip back on again...
thanks for the help

down is fine, grab it near the very bottom,my TW actually has two "voids" down there in the door card which i grab like a handle and pull towards me,then just continue to work your way up to the top and lift over the window edge
oh, all the clips are arounds the outer edges,so puill close to there so you dont bend the trim or break clips

You are suppose to splice in to the courtesy lights to power these...

You'll also need the map pocket trim as this has the mounting points you need.
Only thing is they only come from the KE/F Xi. My local wreckers has them and I'll be picking them up soon as I'm doing the same thing.
And you will need to splice into the courtesy lights to power it.

thanks for the extra info :)
but at least i know now how to get the trims off the car :)
putting them back on again.. is a PITA...
is there an easy(er) way to do it, took me about 10mins of trying to line the top of the trim up to get into the top chanel and UNDER the tweater cover... that was hard... got there in the end tho... didnt help when the tweeter cover kept coming off a lot haha
EDIT - Grelise - check your pms please re trim pockets :)

easiest way i've found when putting the trims back on is to do it with the window down
makes it abit easier when trying to clip the top part onto the door
it also easier with the tweeter pod off ;)
then all you do is line up the trim then just hammer away with your hand, should all clip in
be careful not to bang to hard and make sure the clips on the trim are right as these things brake/bend easy
Getting them on is easy :)
Windows down, push the top left corner in first on an angle, then slowly lower it so it clips onto the edge, then clip all the pins back in to the door and screw back in :)
I can get mine back on in 20s easy :)

can you come and do mine when its time to do it again?
haha
i had the window down when i was playing with the trims - i thought it would give a little more easy movement when trying to put it back in again

Just remember the tilt when putting them back in, without the tilt its a bitch of a job... :)
