Your in luck I did workexperience as a mechanic two weeks ago lol
There are two ways, if it's just the cable, there should be either a bolt or a screw near the handbrake lever, just need to tighthen this. It was like this in the TOYOTA'S but not sure bout Magna's, should have the same system..so just look around the handbrake and everythin for a bolt/screw...its not on the actually handbrake lever but nearby it..
Goodluck...and if you get up to any sideways action...GET SOMEONE TO FILM/TAKE PICS OF IT!

you probably will have to get access to inside ur centre console (the part between ur seats, not the dash) Bolt is most likely there. THats where it was for the TR's anyhow.

nah, that dont work :(
you have to do it the hard way via taking off your rear wheels and adjusting the little roller thing in there, aaron tried doing my handbreak via that bolt in the centre console, but it did nuffin :(

Hi, I did my TE last week. Open the console lid and remove the bin inside it. This should just pull out. Under this you can see the 2 cables going thru the floor to the brakes. Look forward a bit(may just be covered by the carpet and there is a rod that the 2 cables are attatched to,inbetween the 2 cables is a nut. Tighten this to tighten the handbrake. Cheers Shaun

That's exactly how I did my TS, except when I did the little nut up too tight, my rear wheels made a funny "whudda whudda whudda" (not unlike a WRX exhaust) noise. Had to back the nut off while driving at 110 down the highway  Imagine having to hold onto the wheel wif your knees while getting the spanner adjusted on the nut! It's an interesting experience.
Tighten it as much as you want, and go for a drive. Make adjustments.
