It only seems to come off by scratching it off. It just forms with time. And it looks yuck.

Yup, it was like that when I bought it.
While I was removing some glue stuff with a goo-remover type stuff, I gave it a wipe with the same cloth, and the foggy stuff came straight off.
Seems to have lasted about a year, but just lately it's done it again!?

Ahhh. The old UV damage thing. Much like the much hated EF-EL Falcon headlights.
