Gday guys, after your opinions.....

Are leather racing seats too ricey for magna's? All your top end HSV's and FPV's and other European sport cars all have leather racing seats....

The seats are fully adjustable (slide forward and back, recline etc)

So do you think you'd be able to get away with these type of seats but still keep away from rice?

Cheers. JM

I find them fantastic. Mine are the original EVO Recaros done in black leather with white stitching. I find they really add a touch of class. They'll look great in a Magna.

I reckon they look good, would you get getting the back seats retrimed to match?

Yer was thinking something like that, maybe even those ebay ones, just to finish it off and to keep the price down.

glad im not the only one who would think they would look sweet in a magna, just so sick of sliding round in the factory seats on drives, would love something thatd look classy and do the job to keep me in my seat lol

They would only be Rice if they were a bright colour but that's cool as in the pic.

would it be ricer if you put the same leather seats in the back aswell and get rid of the bench seat

I don't see a problem with a custom 4-seater setup, I wouldn't mind a monaro interior (4 seater).

Yes, they're heavy duty to keep my carpets clean.

Can we stay on topic please?

If that's the main reason you want them mate, I would see if you can get a set of Ralliart Magna seats (if they'll fit) I remember them always being supremely comfortable.

Ralliart Magna seats are soooo comfy, yet are well bolstered to hold onto you in corners.

Id certainly take a set of leather race seats over the standard veradas ones i have now. No fun for enthusiastic drives at all.

Leather without the harness points would look much better, those particular seats in a magna is a great example of rise IMO.

Get the Recaros off that NZ Trademe site they have heaps of front and rear original from Jap evo for as little as NZ $400 average NZ$600 plus freight but heaps less than US$529 + at least same freight would probably total Oz$2000 easy.

Yeah, you really would have to get the rears retrimmed to match. Otherwise you will look like a cheapskate ricer....which is worse than a ricer :) And they would def need to be black. Any other colour would also scream rice....er...which would make you s-creamed rice. Oooh. Bad. Sorry. Tough day at work lol

are you going to be tracking the car?? if so pay careful attention to the seat/s your buying... seats that feel supportive on the street often arent so great on the track...

example ..the factory jdm evo recaro's feel really supportive on the street... but once i hit the track i was very dissapointed with them.. upper body support is quite poor... apparently the adm ones are worse...

if it for street only then i guess go for something that supports ok and looks nice....

They look pretty mad mate I say go for it, sure beats the standard exec seats... well all magna seats really.

But when it comes to ricer... really mate if you like it and think its looks good just go for it, stuff everyone else. I changed my interior light to a red LED, some people thinks its ricer but when your cruising around and your whole interior is drenched in red its looks mad.

Just curious, is it possible to fit Evo rear seats in a Magna?

Some cheap sets from NZ available...

I think evo's are a little thinner than our magnas.

The one in the picture (with the orange background) are $350 each, from JSA (www.jsa.net.au) which are local jap shop there on bell st i think. so i reckon they'd be my best choice, looks, price and convience. but yer only way to decide is to just go down there and sit in them lol.

A few people have done it, can't recall whom though, just make sure they are adjustable... Nothing worse then a seat you can't adjust.
