Hi all.
Can someone please help. I have a second hans set of protection strips from the doors on my TJ II that i want to colour code. How do i get rid of the old double sided tape off the back of it. It doesn't want to come off too easy at all. I have done the small front guard sectios but they took me an hor and the doors will take me days at this rate. Any ideas gratefully listened to. Thanks

Could try a scraping knife blade? The thing you can use to remove old rego stickers from your windscreen.

This type of blade but with a handle (can't find decent photo):

dude, when i got mine colour coded, i used a heat gun.
BE VERY CAREFULL NOT TO MELT ANYTHING!
it wont take much heat to warp it.
but its your best option

try a 'caramel wheel' or pinstripe removal wheel to attach to your drill. Available from automotive paint supply places apparently. I read on another forum, using this to get rid of Sikaflex off the car after taking off side moulds, so should get rid of double sided tape, will jsut need to secure the piece somehow.
