I got a new remote pad for the TE last week I followed the instructions to program the keypad but since then I have trouble getteing the door to lock on the first click at times if I click the remote several times then it locks all the doors.

Is it indicating a problem with the main unit or the keypad etc.

The car did not come with any keypads as they were either lost or damaged.

Had the same problem with mine when I first got my TE. Changed the battery. Worked perfect for 2 weeks. Then started doing it again.. Only occasionally though. If yours is new, well then it obviously won't be the battery. Only other thing I could think off is when ya push it down it's not connecting right. Dunno much apart from that!

Well everytime I press it you can hear the door locks moving but the door doesn't lock or unlock.

Very wierd!! Mine has started playing up quite recently too... When I lock the vehicle, it locks all doors except the drivers. So i gotta lock it with the key. Then if i attempt to unlock it with the 'beeper' it does nothing ... :(

I know it probabaly doesnt work like this, but it sounds like its wired backwards!

Because dont you press the green once to unlock drivers door, then again to UNLOCK all doors.

What is the red is programmed on green's idea, but if locking instead of unlocking.

WOAHHH EPIC BRAIN HURTTTTZZZ

lol it's a TE so it's probably only got the single button remote

Actually, it should have one of these:

Anybody think maybe the lock pumps are stuffed?

Mate, take the door cards off, see if they are pulling hard enough, if not try a wreckers... If the drivers-side lock pump is stuffed it will break all of them...

Actually he's right. TE-KE only has 1 button, with the exception of the KE Xi. Thats a TF remote.

If you push firmly it does it work? I know if I just tap quickly like I do on our Camry it doesn't work, you need to be firm.

As above,
TE - KE ei have a single button remote

The KE XI and KF have a 3 botton remote with coloured buttons (These models ran an alarm system of sorts)

TF had the 3 button pictured above

Might have found the problem the car battery was dead at lunch time had to call RACV to install a new one for me and after that the locks seem to be working as they should will find out tomorrow if they are still working ok or not.
