Have done a writeup on doing a second gen clutch on a 2.6 TS. I notice that my clutch, from eBay, is a lot cheaper than the third gen clutch. $130 odd versus $440! Anyone want to comment on the physical differences that might explain the price gap?
When I finally wear the TS out, I want to get a 3rd gen manual. How long does the 3rd gen clutch go for? The TS clutch lasted 217,000 Km.

3rd gen is a pull clutch. I.e the lever pulls the diaphragm levers to release the pressure on the clutch disc.
The clutch release lever is also locked in to place on the diaphragm levers. You have to do a bit of levering off first to take the transmission off the engine.
Hence is it is more expensive.
Similar to an EVO clutch.
