Hey guys,

My SRS light under the instrument cluster is on permanently. It occasionally goes off only to come back on again next time i use the car. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Also i have wind noise coming from the passenger side rear window. The seals appear to be fine though. Any light you guys can shed on this would be appreciated.

When does the light come on, as soon as your start the car? Could be a sensor has died if it does

i see you have a TL?
it'll more then likely be one of the front seat airbags
had this problem with the passenger seat, the clip for the wire is your problem
if you go to mitsi they'll say the airbags stuffed then you'll have to fork out 350 bucks to get it replaced
the guy that fixed mine left the car running, moved the seat forward and played around with the clip
light hasnt been on since

Sorry to thead mine, but I am now having a similar problem. The SRS light comes on and off intermittently, only when I am driving, not on start up. Not related to any "bumps" in the road either. What would cause this??? The car is still under the "5 year" warranty so should it be covered IF something is broken?

Thanks

I just took mine to Mitsubishi, they scanned it for fault codes, reset something and then it was gone

Mine was constantly on, but yours may be a different problem, either way your best of to just go there and get it scanned (only costs 70 dollars - if they charge you), should be covered anyway

Mine was doing the same when i last drove it over a year ago. Comes on and off as it pleases. Pain.

mine did it too - went down to Mitsubishi - they plugged to the computer checked the code and fixed the problem - a dirty sensor - no cost to me.

How is people getting free fixes. Mitsubishi wont do that unless the car is under New Car Warranty..

same problem, was plug under front seats as they basically just hang there it is very easy for them to come loose.
mitsu said only sure way to fix it would be to run a new wire that doesnt go across the base of the seat.

Edit: got my looked at for free under warranty.

Another for the plug-under-the-seat issue, happens every now and then. I just reach under the seat, give the cable a wiggle and it's gone for a few days/weeks.

I know a panel beater that deals with them, he has works directly opposite, he took it in, got done for nothing... Mine was just a reset though
