Hey guys,

Recently I purchased a cruise control kit off Madmagna, it included the following:

- Cruise ECU
- Cruise Stalk (TF Type, I traded this for a TH type)
- Cruise Switch for dash (Not needed, have a TH stalk)
- TF Advance Dash Wiring Harness
- Vac pump (Installed)
- Vac line (Ran it, ready to be plugged into the TB when I get it)

I also have a TB on the way

I have a TH and I have traded Peter_Pan for a TH-TW stalk where the button is on the stalk.

Now, some questions

I tried to check this at the wreckers but all the cars were TE-TF.

1. Does the TH dash wiring harness allow you to plug in cruise, or will I need to either use my TF harness, or get a TH-TW harness?
2. Is it possible to replace the dash harness without pulling the dash out?
3. Is the TF harness compatible with the TH-TW fog switch (with the button on it)?
4. Where in the workshop manual can I find the dash harness diagrams? I have been looking for hours
5. I noticed in the diagrams "stop light switch", I assume this is to disengage the cruise, is this already in place? I would assume it would be hooked up to the brake pedal for the brake lights...
6. If I do need to replace the harness with a TH-TW one, am I best getting a KJ2+ Verada harness and replacing the cluster as well so all future mods are plug and play, or is this not compatible with the engine harness?
7. Do Power window harnesses plug in to the dash harness, or somewhere else, are they plug and play or hard wired? Thinking I might as well do the wiring for them if I have to get the dash out.

If the TH harness allows for a "plug and play" system, I should in theory just be able to plug in the cruise stalk, plug in the ECU, install the TB and test it out!

Thanks,
Dean

4. Do you have the Haynes or similar workshop manual or the actual Mitsubishi Workshop Manual???? The Mitsubishi one will have all of the diagrams for your car in the last 30 or so pages.

I have the mitsubishi workshop manual. Haynes would prob make it a bit easier, they are more idiotproof... Also if it helps I have SRS as a factory option, my harness MAY have the cruise ECU harness, I really have to check...

I've done the engine bay side, I'm just waiting till I got the cash so I can buy a TH dash harness and pull the dash out to finish this up...

Dash is easy as anything to get out, even if you have not done one can not take you more than an hour and a half to get out

I've removed dash's before in other cars and some didn't work out like tabs breaking off or developing a rattle in the dash etc so I'm not to keen to do that anymore. I know there is an electric genuine Mitsubishi cruise control out there but there very rare to find there was an AMC member selling one some time back but I missed out on it.

Going off 2nd gens here, but no tabs...Just a few bolts and she all pulls out...never had a problem
