So i have a TH Sports with cruise and traction.Having problems with it starting...or it not keeping going...ie..it starts for 2 secs ,then dies..i have to start again and again and when it catches..stab at the pedal to keep it going..thoughts

Also...have been lent a flowed throttle body, which doesnt have cruise/traction,so if i swap them over, what do i do with the left over and exposed/open plugs and vacum lines...

oh..im swapping them over so i can get mine flowed....

thanks...

Do a search on Idle speed control

2. Do not fit a non traction control throttle body onto your car. This will disable your traction control, which as a safety device, is illegal to disable. Should you crash, you're up **** creek without a paddle.

So does that mean anyone who turns it of via the tcl button on the dash is up sheet creek too? I dont think so. TCL could be not operational due to other reasons. Hig ishly doubt its illegal. Airbags, ABS different story... Actually ABS is debateable cause if it craps out it operates like an early model vehicle without ABS operational.

Prove me wrong, head into your local Vicroads department and ask them, and I'll gladly eat my hat (will even post pictures).

On another note, also ask your insurance company what they think of removing traction control or ABS for that matter.

With the cruise vac line, it can just be left uncapped, however I would unplug the vac pump (wires are next to the washer bottle). As for TCL, just cap it off with something and turn it off in the car.

Edit: I would also pull the TCL fuse.

i had the same starting problem in my tj sports. Nothing to do with the throttle body. Just played with the brown wire from ecu to bem.
