My TS SE has the most uncomfortable seats I think I've ever sat in. Had them checked by an upholsterer and he said they were in good condition and not sagging or collapsed. It is the driver seat mainly, the LHS seat base has a different length (Shorter) side section to the RHS. (The parts that seem to create the bucket effect). This applies pressure to my thighs when on trips over an hour or so. Thinking it was me, I let my brother drive for a bit and he found the same issue.. Has anyone put different types or model seats in their 2nd Gen magna. I am looking for a bolt in set, so I am all ears for suggestions.

Oh, I am only 5'9" and 78KG, so I am not overwidth or overweight for the seat :D

Cheers,

Strange, much comfier then any falc/commo of the same era.
You can put 3rd gen front seats in, direct bolt in mate, see how that goes.

You have the sports bucket drivers seat. Fit the standar/flat magna seats if you don't like the extra side supports. No point in going to 3rd gen high-end seats as they have high side bolsters too.

I think the Verada's may have had different seats that would bolt straight in? I dunno, but I find the seats in my 2nd gen Verada, especially with the available adjustments and how I have it adjusted, very very comfy and fairly supportive, you kinda feel you sitting in them not on them.

I think pics are in order. If the yours are the flatter ones, then you have the wrong seat, if the SE one is uncomfy for you, then maybe you need the exec seats.

I have a TS exec and I must say there must be something wrong with yours because I think my seats are some of the best of any older car I have been in.

Yep, very comfy seats. Have done 4 hour long trips non stop without getting stiff or twitchy. Try the different adjustments possible. Lumbar support is a hard one to get right, but is important. Make sure the fore/aft and tilt are adjusted to allow even pressure along your thighs. If that doesn't work, see a chiropractor or take up yoga and loosen up!

i have the GLX ones, dont find them too bad but im thinking of upgrading to buckets soon as they're a bit unnatractive and a bit worn
didnt know 3rd gens were a direct bolt in, might have to look at some of those now :)

My brother has a TR SE and the seats in it are miles ahead of the Solara seats in my TJ from a comfort, asthetic and quality perspective.

My ts exe was very firm, so i grabbed an interior out of the vs verada sports wagon from pick a part kilsyth. the seats are a bit softer and offer lumber on both sides.Still have fairly high bolsters though.Got the whole interior for $300 bucks.
There was another se series 1 down there with flatter seats in grey and they were awsum,a freak set i think?
If you want an easy fix just buy good sheep skin covers,i dont like the look personaly but they are so comfy!
