Hi everyone
Hoping there are a few Verada owners out there that can help me with this. I am 100% sure that at least the KS Verada came out factory with chrome tip 'sleeves' over the standard pipes coming out of the box. My KS verada dosent have these but I've see others driving around that do
Is there anyone out there that knows what im on about (sorry for such a basic description) and would be kind enough to take a photo of their verada muffler tips that has the factory chrome tips still on their exhaust?? I am looking at getting this back on my Verada
thanks in advance
Rod
If anyone knows where I can buy this setup from i would be very grateful

The chome sleeves were standard on the KS v6ei and v6xi. The previous owner may have removed it. Then again, I've seen lots with just one, so they may have fallen off. My old KS v6xi had them.
If you are going to the trouble of getting chrome sleeves, for a bit more, you might as well go aftermarket. Any exhaust shop (even kmart) has chrome/ss tips you can slot over the tips.
Also, Mitsubishi still sells the chrome sleeves for 3rd gen standard muffler. These would also fit 2nd gen muffler. I got a set for like $30 from mitsu, ring around.

you can get them for about 15-20 bucks at supercheap. obviously not oem. but would look pretty damn similar.

Yeah i have noticed that alot aswell, one of the chrome sleeves missing that is. Must be one of those factory faults like VN tail lights going pink.

Yeh, my KS ei has them, from memory I had a look once, although they seemed to have some sort of bolt to stop them from sliding off, it looked like they were also welded on, so might be difficult to remove/replace/swap. I think I was looking into it because I was thinking of getting an aftermarket muffler but keeping the stock look with original tips. I can probably take a photo tomorrow if you want. Mine is a wagon, but shouldnt make a difference.

Just need to chop it off between the muffler and sleeve and weld on aftermarket ones to the remaining bit of pipe.

How much would a muffler shop charge to weld tips over the end of a muffler? Sick of looking at my old crappy tips, also is there any way they can make the two pipes coming out of the muffler into one stainless steel tip somehow?

I have seen them. So they do exist. Might have to go to a few exhaust places and have a look.

Hi Ollie
Could you please take a photo for me from front and side caus I want to get an idea how far the chrome sleeves poke out. I have just had my muffler replaced with dual chrome tips welded on but feel they are sticking out too much so it dosent look standard.
This would be much appreciated
