Hey guys i know its pretty trivial but any of you guys no how to fix a cup holder that wont close in a TL? i think its the little clip. :nuts:

its pretty much stuffed mate
still got new car warranty?
could try a wreaker but may have to buy it new
mines broken too but i've had mine painted the same colour as the car and i cbf buying a new one and getting my spray painter to paint it again :doubt:

Had the same prob in my Rada, it is the clip.
Got mine replaced under warranty. Took nearly 9 months for them to find someone who could make it due to the original supplier going bust.

i've seen it happen on heaps of TL's. I don't open mine out of fear

Yeap, Happened to mine too.. Its under warranty and it has been 3 months and still waiting from the part. Apparently it is coming from Japan.... Bullocks or not, I dont know.

Same issue with mine, thought my clip isn't broken it just doesn't line up.....:rant:

MMAL.......quality.

It happened to me...I flamed the wife for touching it...I ended up solving it by doing the following...

1. Cup holder lid in up position
2. press on the clip in the cup holder, so that it stays in the down/locked position
3. carefully and slowly close the lid, with light force
4. If at firsts it does not succeed, dont force it,
try several times by pushing the lid down gently over and over again, eventually mine fixed itself.
