hey all
im looking to lower my car but so far i cant find any1 to go as low as i want. with pedders it still sits too high (585mm infront from 615mm and 555mm in rear from 585mm) so i dont wanna use them im just wondering how low other springs go and if possible pics of ts/tr with said springs fitted

thanks all in advance

These are Pedders' lowest springs on the front, and rears are no-name's but I am pretty sure they are 'super low'. Ideally I would like the front lowered half an inch more so the guards line up a bit more

Edit: If you are starting from scratch, I would also buy a better brand than Pedder's to compress, maybe Kings or Lovells or even look at getting springs custom done from scratch from either of those brands

Should be ok, maybe down the track you can do what I did and get damper adjustable struts put in for that bit more of a firm ride, or go with the KYB's as more 2G members have.

something i want to work on is a catelogue available strut and spring combo that may or may not come from mitsubishi to solve this heigh issue with 2nd gens. With the lowest off the shelf combo's on there is a lot of room for improvement but using 2nd gen items you will wear out struts very quickly, as to go even low you have reduced shock travel a lot.

I got the idea from the cressida forums, as most poeple who have seen one would know thats where the deisnged the ride height for the landcruisers from, a cressida. haha jokes. Anyways commonly a 2inch drop at the back and 3inch at the front was best practice. From messing around with kyb catelogues and specs some wiseguy found out that RAV4 front struts with cressida spring seat and strut top and super low spring gave an extra inch lower on the front, (making 4inches) and the best part, the strut itself is 30percent bigger in diameter and kyb says 40%stiffer bound, and 10%stiffer reboud. ALl in all a good find. Then he also found using ma70 supra rears from kyb with cressida strut top and supra super low spring netted a 5.5 (almost the 6) inch drop on factory. Ofcourse this rooted his camber and allignments. But his suspension was still in its operational limits. This is where the 2g fails. Any lower on stock fitting struts and you are albut sitting on the bumpstops.

While im on holidays i might make a few calls and do a bit of research

Looks like you know your toyo's...

Anything is possible but like most mods no one can tell you unless they jumped in the deep end and did it.

Be interesting to see if mixing parts can work on a magna.

Could always get bags....looks great but not sure about the handling.

Lowered my rolla wagon on the front lawn once .....looked great job well done, one big problem could,nt get it off lol.

Had to do some landscaping..:roflwtf:

Just leave the pedders in and eventually it will sag to your required height

Seriously, 30mm is ok as leaves suspension travel and is legal. Lower than that is poss however you reduce suspension travel so is both illegal and can get dangerous as well
