looking to put extractors on my TP 2.6L. I would like them matched to the head where can I get this done prefer wangaratta, Albury/Wodonga area but will travel to Melb if I have to

i had them done on mine, hi-tech
they made 1kw difference at 4500rpm, and lost low end torque...
i'd spend cash in another area!

Considering you can pick up extractor at the wreckers for as little as $40, I'd give it a go, just hunt wreckers and you'll find a set sooner or later

yep, I'd done a decent about of research on it when I had my TP and the general concencus was that it's not really worth it.
You'd def be better spending that money elsewhere. Best improvement on my car was the recond head. Plus a valve grind and polish, the car was definately a lot more responsive and seemed quicker at least. That cost me $400, so if you were to maybe get a polish and grind only it would cost less? Extractors brand new will prob set you back minimum $200 for cheapo ones that will make sweet fa difference......
But if you are keen saw a set on abay for 175, free postage...
But as others said, keep your eye out at wreckers as it will save you alot of money :P

would it be losing the low end torque at low rmps because of the backpressure?
