G'day,
It appears the better half has lost her keys, possibly left outside while collecting the washing, (we live in a unit and have a shared line) she remembers leaving them on the ground while taking the washing down, but can't remember using them to get back in to the building, I was in the garage, and the main security door was jammed open by a neighbour taking up shopping.
Long story any way IF the keys have been "Stolen" IS IT possible to get the car re-programmed so the old key's and remote don't work? Car is mostly garaged, (always at night) is only outside during the day when we are in and out. I still have my key and remote.

Thanks in advance!!!

Key requires the locks to be recoded and new keys to be made, however for the remote an ECU reset should drop the codes iirc.

You can make it so the remote doesnt work, and maybe deter an event.
Just reset the car by turning the key from acc to on three times, the car should confirm with an indicator flash.
Press your remote ( or all you have in your posession ) one at a time, the car should acknowledge each remote by another flash, then press another remote if applicable.
This will clear the lost remote from memory. Wont stop the key though.

If you find the key. Repeat to re-enable.

Thanks Guys for your help. I have ordered a new key and remote, they are going to reprogram my key and the new key, the "lost key" will still be able to open the door but will have a old code in the micro chip so won't be able to start the car. Apparently quite a common event. The dealer in question does it for all the "pre loved vehicles" so old owners can't come in a get a "drive away" deal lol . New key is $62, remote is $48 and reprogramming is $60 so all up $170  and a $100 to change the house locks   Better half has put it down to preggie brain.
