Went and got a quote on some of the things that need to be fixed on my car at a suspension place today.

They reakon my front sway bar D bushes need to be done. But they couldn't get me a price at the time coz apparently whiteline dont do just the D bushes for a TS V6 and they would have to ring around other suppliers tommorow.

Can anyone give me a rough idea of what these cost?

Also would I get new D bushes if i purchased a new sports/heavy duty swaybar? Or would they still need to be purchased seperately?

Whiteline have a PDF catalogue on their website -you could browse it for part numbers of spares, fitting kits etc - and price them at various parts shops etc. Some whiteline bars are listed as 'with fittings' and other 'without fittings' - about $50- difference from memory of approx Oct/Nov last year.

Already checked the whiteline catalog. They have absolutey nothing in there for 2nd gens. I swear when i looked at that catalog years ago there was 2nd gen stuff so maybe that have just stopped making stuff for 2nd gens?

I have a whiteline strut brace so obvioulsy they did make stuff for 2nd gens at one stage.

I talked to a friend who is an ex mechanic (now vehicle inspector at regency... handy friend to have :cool: ). He thinks around $50 for D bushes.

If the bushes are similar to the rear sway bar (Whiteline) I put on my 3rd Gen 'Rada, they are a pretty generic looking thing to me - if you measure or know the diameter of the sway bar, and the size of the D-shackle surrounding the bush, I'd imagine you could get something to suit.

I guess that's where the suspension guys have the know-how and experience to be able to substitute correct parts. You could always give Whiteline a ring, or Nolathane for that matter (or are they both owned by same big company now?).

To hijack your thread a bit - what's the grease needed for these urethane suspension bushes? I've got a replacement sway bar out of Whiteline - the original clashed on the rear toe-control arms of my car. They have sent the remanufactured bar, but I'm willing to bet they haven't sent any more sachets of grease (they modified the orig bar and refitted it to my car while they made me a new bar).

AND, I'm sure you ae right - they have simplified their product range, that online catalogue changed late last year and lots of stuff was "weeded-out" of Magna range - sadly. I think there were some clear-out specials on end-of-range items.

EDIT: Do you know how long the original bushes lasted? Were they urethane (mine are yellow), or rubber?

Go look on the Redranger website. They are Whiteline, Nolathane and Noltec.

i.e. the source of the bushes that Whiteline use.

dude go to repco they have them less than $30 dollars!! for nolathane!

or hit the fulcrum web site. they have all my tp bushes in poly so im sure your newer ts will be there. they even have picy's. plus there aussie wide.

Checked the fulcrum website. Found the "Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bushing", are these the D bushes?

Whiteline carry a full range of replacement urethane mounts for their sway bars, all available by the relevant size (diameter in mm) of the sway bar. Your best off Googling online for their website and then ring or emailing to confirm which ones you want/need. Be warned Whiteline Direct (their online site for sales) is often dearer than through their distributors as they they only sell at their full RRP. They send grease with all kits and I'm pretty sure sell it with bushes in little single application plastic bags.

Heres is some info I've gathered from various sources (the lower bit has lost its formatting when posting and ICBF re formatting so it is as it is:

You after Antilft as well, also there are 2 kits made for magnas, a KCA-358 (18mm) and KCA-372 a (22mm) now, whiteline/redranger no longer make these and he is out of stock on the KCA-372, you will need to measure the bolt on the lower rear control arm to find out which one it is, as they differed in every single model.

Also they arent cheap they are around the 200+ mark for the bushes alone. Superpro Nolathane etc do these bushes as well in specific crush tube offsets if you want more caster applied to a particular side etc.
