Hey guys, I fitted my GE kit today (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1015501&postcount=18) and it looks sweet, although after driving around tonight with a couple mates in the car i've discovered a problem.

Due to the offset of my wheels, the very inside edge of the flare is scrubbing on the rear tyres around corners and even over the slightest bump. It seems that if the offset of the wheels were only about 4-5mm less wide it would solve the problem as it's only right on the edge of the flare. My question is, is there any way of modifying the wheel or something so it sits in just a slight bit more?

Or otherwise, would it be possible to take it somewhere to have the inside of the flare cut/modified to prevent this happening? The thing that I can see preventing this is the position of the clips that are holding the flare on.

What kind of springs are you running? I haven't fitted my rears yet but I'm having no probs with the fronts on 18x8 Starcorp Diablo Racer's...

i scrapped my fronts, and i smashed my rears of... there are sine photos floating round somewhere... you can trim them though, and you can move the clips, whilst keeping it strong.

King Low springs with 18x8" ROH Mantis rims, can't remember the exact offset but I know it's a falcon offset...

I found mine were scrubbing on the very rear of the flare, where it's held out by that little tube spacer from the bodywork.

I unscrewed the bolt, cut the little tube in half, and trimmed a little bit of plastic from the flare (it angles inwards right near that little tube, I made it a 45 degree angle instead of the 90 degree one) and my scrubbing woes were history.

my rims are 18x8 +38 (typical Falcon offset), running 235/40r18 Bridgestone GIIIs.

cheers,
