Howdy All..

Not sure if any of the 380 class, whether it be sx, gt or platinum, has the feature of Auto Folding mirrors..? If so, someone please inform me so i don't get something custom made if it already exists.

But, if it doesn't exist on any of the 380 fleet, any members aware of any manufacturers in melbourne that make them, install, or even custom create? I Have folding mirrors on my maxima and they're a great benefit for tight spots, as i work in the city, it would be a great feature to have.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx
Ben

the 380's dont have them to my knowledge .. I had a Colt loan car the other day and it had a button that looked like it folded mirrors .. maybe it could be added to the 380??? surely the 380 mirrors are much larger than the colt ones though ...

the 380 mirrors are a tad bigger than the Nissan 04 Maxima mirrors, so i think it could be done.

Looking around on the net for custom manufactures comes up with s...-all responses.

Colt's mirror auto fold in when you click the close button twice.

i don't think you can make an auto folder out of a non auto folder...the actuator arm would have to be pretty bloody strong!

The Pajero mirrors also fold.

I have a manual folder on my driver's door mirror for when I park right up against a pillar. I fold the thing shut myself, hehe.
It is a big mirror and requires a bit of force to swivel it (there's a position holding place that it needs pushing out of). If a conversion can be done, it wouldn't be cheap I imagine.

That's what i'm thinking.
But i'm sure you can buy completely new mirrors with the motor mechanism in/with it. But my problem is just finding those sources right now.
