Afternoon all,
Has anyone experienced issues with the drivers side window just 'dieing'. All of a sudden the control to wind up and down the window isn't working, it's working fine for the other 3 windows. Can't hear any type of sound so it doesn't appear to be stuck on anything. Will take the car in to the dealer as should be covered by warranty still :(

Yep,
Mine crapped itself. Just like yours, worked ok then ....... nothing. Crook regulator - warranty job.

When I had my windscreeen replaced two weeks ago, I tried the driver's window and it didn't work. Drove off after ordering a new regulator, and suddenly 1/2 K down the road it started working again. Since then no probs, but I'm half expecting it to go.
My dealer said they'd just had a rash of 380 regs go in the last month or so.

I'm a bit worried about this suspect door window mechanism, and the vibrating door thing (from other thread)... I don't have either problem as yet, but I guess I should expect either or both sooner or later if everyone else is getting them.
At least its a warranty fix if/when I do get it/them.

hi this is a common thing happening the window regs were made in Korea the new one's we fit are made in the USA
as for a vibration could be a loose bolt causing it

I'm looking at my 3rd winder regulator now. Back driver, back passenger and now back driver again. The regulator just 'lets go' of the glass and can't push the window back up again. Worst part of an otherwise awesome car :-(

same thing happened in my tj. You think they would have learned by the time they started putting 380s together!

Blame can not be entirely put on Mitsubishi. It appears to be a problem with their elected component manufacturer.
It is an interesting fact that the supplier and country of origin has changed for the 380 window lifter / regulator. The old are from the US and I believe the new are from Japan.

I know its not mitsubishi's poor manufacturing, just commenting on the fact that in their last 2 generations of aussie built cars the window regulators have been a bit dodgy. I know theyre made elsewhere but its just weird how both gens have the same issues
oh, and rothguard. Mine happened when the warranty was still on it, so not sure how much repair costs are
