Hi all, I went to the wreckers today as I needed a replacement ics (Mine has a crack in the plastic sleeve inside) Unfortunately someone had come through and removed them all for the 3.0l motors. I did find one on a TR 2.6 and the throttle body and ics look the same as those on the 3.0. I came home and checked the ones on ebay and the part numbers differ from v6 and 4cyl. If I tried to use the 4cyl one on my kr v6 will I just be asking for trouble or will it work fine. (I am going to buy new as soon as I have the disposable income but that won't be for a while yet)

Hi
It ether works or doesn't. If it bolts up give it a go.
If not i bought one of eBay cheap and it works fine and been on car for 12 months.
This part i would not get from wreckers as its a common part to fail.
Cheers

Thanks for that. I may give it a try later in the week. I was worried about the computer getting wrong readings and having a :eeek: fit. I can't chance it when I'm working as the guy who is on cant leave until I get there and twelve hours is a looong shift in that place.

Plug it in, see how it goes. I dont see why It'd pose a risk.

I am 99% sure I have used them before from the 4cyl and no issues. Was a while ago though
