Hi
Just wondering if any of the guys with a KJ Verada GTVi could take a pic of their instrument cluster and post it up.
I am trying to work out what cluster i have in mine. It lights in stages like the verada does but it is not totally black, it has silver surrounds.

Without looking at it sounds like the VRX Limited Edition cluster, perhaps if you can post up a pic of your cluster as well

Looks like a KJ Series 2 cluster with the cover plate sprayed silver.
The cluster could have come out of a KJ GTV/GTVi - but someone has sprayed the cover plate silver.
P.S - Can I have it? Almost has the right amount of kms for one of my cars too! ;)

Hmmm so the series 2 does not have the flat face like mine has then?
Was thinking this may have been one of the special edition ones we were chatting about.

Nope - The one we were talking about from the VRX LE is an "analogue" dash - no trip computer. Has red or blue faced dials too!

I think its just a slightly different steel look surround like what was on the TF sports and applied to a black out cluster.

Mal, I was saying this to you the other day.
My KJ AWD has this surround but in plain old black. I wonder does anyone else's?

Mine does. It does look a bit different compared to the one in my old KJ S1.

Im gunna put my money on it being a GTVi blacked out verada one with no black lense. It lights up in the same sequence and has the same needles. Just doesnt have the blacked out face. Silver looks crap like its not ment to be seen. Thats my thoughts anyway..:)

The inside of a "blackout" cluster doesn't look anything like a normal cluster, the inside of an actual blackout cluster looks like its from a plane ****pit.
Putting a normal clear cove on a blackout cluster would look ridiculous, as the inside really is not meant to be seen, its horrid.
EDIT: lol at cokpit

is it possible to get the needles out of a blackout cluster and put them in a TJ 1.5??? the orange ones just look cheap, and these look awesome!!!

Definitely not a KJ/KJ2 cluster, the dials are a different shape.

Nope. VRX_MY02 is right. It's exactly the same as mine except the cover is sprayed silver.

aaah so thats what my gtv would look like with a silver plate...saw one on sale a while ago and thought id snap it up, but on 2nd thoughts i think i prefer the generic black look. Goes good with the non-ralliart side of things and the leather. I agree too i love the lit up needles though, look great at night!.

So next question.....can the needles be ripped off and put on, say, a standard TE/F cluster with mechanical odo? Me likes the look of them :hmm:

Does anyone have any idea for me or is it possibly a individual cluster?
lots of talk about red needles fitting other cars but a bit off subject lol.
