And it's the conversion of the interior roof light from bulb to LED.
Cheapest $30 for 16 LED interior light from Repco(not on special now - back to full pricing).
Do it when it is cooler as I discovered I was sweating alot due to climbing temperatures in the car(even with windows down) and being nervous of stuffing up my 1st mod. I needed a  after this but I was really hung over from my birthday party so I drank water

We've tried a couple of variations... happy with both types:
TJ Exec - central square lamp, 31mm festoon is standard. We bought a 12-LED panel from Jaycar, which had a variety of dummy lamps to plug it into, including a 31mm festoon adaptor. Its very bright, clean white light. Happy.
TJ Sports and KJ Rada: Got 31mm festoons with 4 LED's in them - festoon is actually plastic not glass. These are also quite effective, again we got white light for illumination, not looking for a colour theme! I can't remember if these 4 LED's were meant to be a newer 'super-bright' LED, possibly were.
I reckon Deaf-Dave's 16 LED jobbie must be pretty bright and effective.
Also, FYI - have got from E-bay some "surface-mounted" LEDs which are on a flat piece of circuit board stuff - LEDs face sideways - these are very good in the Verada C-Pillar courtesy lamps, and these don't seem to have any issues with polarity (I feared they might work on one side of car and not the other - in 3 cars with rear-lamps mods, it has never been a problem).
By comparison, some basic T10 etc LEDs from AutoBarn etc have been a bit feeble - have found specialist E-bay Sellers with much better range, not to mention prices. Only issue was from one Hong Kong based seller with a BA9S multi-LED sourced from O'seas esp to fit in one-piece parra park-lamps - think I got a dud bulb (Seller promptly sent replacement two bulbs when I asked for one), and also had issue that polarity of car wouldn't light the passenger parker. Eventually had to (reluctantly) cut n swap wires where they enter the parra housing - and its a go-er now. Thanks to Peter-Pan for the link to buy these excellent, bright-white parker bulbs.

Yep much brighter and you could read the map easily.
And it looks great when standing from the car at night. Car parks has lights so bugger them and go to the ones WITHOUT the lights(security issue I know!) and get best results.
Will upload the pics tonight hopefully the camera's battery hs one more charge to flash it.

i swapped all my lights in my gtv for blue leds with omar, man the smooth dark blue looks good with the black leather, but i too was contemplating the big cluster LED's, or even something brighter for the rear coutesy lights coz their quite dim!
Actually found a place that sells black lights and was wondering for fun if i should pop that in the car? i assume it'll be totally useless but fun all the same!:dancin:
Jaycar has something similar. See my posts here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60824).

Guys here you go!
the P3300271.jpg is the one taken outside. Tinted glass was in the way but you could see the number of LEDs on it!
the P3300272. jpg is the one taken inside. Notice how bright it is? Even my picture were on night setting and it is still bloody bright aye?

I just recently upgraded all my interior lights to LEDs, you can see the results in my thread: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1019953&postcount=16

I changed the interior light over to LED also but have a bit of leakage to the LED as it does not go completly off when the doors are closed. Most obvious at night when you can see a faint glow. Anyone got this problem or know how to fix it?

Um it really depends what brand of LED did you buy and where from.
I bought mine from repco in Belmont and I was lucky to have the last LED left in repco stores. I had lights on when I shut the door but does go off when I press alarm button. I reckon you may have a wiring problem?

yes i have the same problem its extremly annoying i took the whole unit out and looked at the switch mine had heaps of gunk around the copper parts but it hasnt helped that much. It will work when the cars off and on door mode but as soon as the car is on it gets like 1/4 power or something i dont know:cry:
Here is a better photo of mine. Personally, I dont like very blue ones as it detracts from having a better lighting.

Just a noob question on the LED lights you guys have installed.
When you close you doors the lights slowly dim out on the normal bulbs. Does the LEDs do that as well? they slowly dim out or just goes off straight away?

Mine dims. It dims in increments, much like going down a set of stairs, instead of an escalator.

I used to have blue LEDs on the roof just like what you have. I got rid of them again, as it made reading maps impossible. Anything that is blue on the map, won't show up at all. So i got a 6LED high brightness LED festoon and its so much better.
And yes, also get the leakage issue when doors closed. But it doesn't bother me. Its minimal.
Mine doesn't dim though :( wish it would. Just goes straight off. Might try using a capacitor to see if that will work.
