Have a problem. I have a 98 TF magna and needed and needed to remove my entire towbar. So I got underneath the car and saw two bolts. One taking a 17mm socket and the other a 15mm. They very fairly tight but they eventually cracked. The only problem is that the bolts are now just spinning. They won't unscrew!! Any one had this experience or a solution?

there is a nut on the inside of the chassis rails, they will have some wire welded onto them, this is how tow bars are fitted. good luck with it the can be a real prick sometimes.

OK, I will try to slide an open end spanner in!

Oh crap! We had similar problem trying to fit Towbar to our first TJ. One 'captive nut" was loose or missing. A long job, trying to get a nut down there and get the mounting bolt started, then brace the nut so bolt could be tightened.

We had hoped for a quick job, ended-up with rear bar cover removed (first paint chip on car from that process). Very fiddly, you have my sympathy..... but it CAN be done.
