Well, after sorting one daughters car (TP), I have started on the other daughters (TN) both wagons.
Anyhow, I have been sitting on a complete set of body kit, plus an extra 2 sections for the rear. I have cut and spliced one, so as to make the rear a complete fill. (I learned plastic welding when I worked in a panel shop) So far I have the front, both middle sides fitted and one complete rhs rear modified in length.
Now the kicker, I tried the rear and corner fittings for the rear bar. I find that the exhaust pipe cut away is in a different position from the rear bar to the skirt and that the shape of the bar is different on a wagon too a sedan. This makes fitting the rear end difficult.
Has anyone here done this, and if so what did you do?
If not, I guess my plastic welding is going to be tested as I am thinking that I will cut and shut the lower half of a sedan bumper and mate it to the upper half of a wagon bumper. Will also need to box out the numberplate cut away in sedan bar. Any thoughts here?
I know the obvious question is, "Why Bother?". Well its a sort of therapy for me (PTSD), and I love my duaghter and she wants her car to be a little more unique and hell, it looks good when I have it all taped in place.
So, if anyone has an image or two of a wagon with full skirts, can you chuck em my way
Cheers all,
