Hey all,

I am new to the Magna club but I have been cruising the forums for about a year now.

I just had my front left CV joint replaced as it was clicking due to the boot cracking and dirt destroying my CV. The Mechanic said my car was due for a service. My car is a 1997 TF 3.0

What is involved in a 150km service?

K&N Air Filter thrown in at 145,000km (Cleaned a week ago).
I have changed the oil/filter at 148,000km.
I plan to change the coolant and flush.
Got 6 Platinum spark plugs(I can only be bothered throwing 3 in the front, I will have 3 iridiums put in the back)

What else can I do to lower the cost of the service? :D

Thanks in advance :]

Auto fluid + filter (including flush)?

Brake fluid replacement + bleed?

Not 150 000 km necessarily, but not unhelpful things to do

If you still have your service handbook in the glovebox look it up and it will tell you what is involved in a 150,000km service.

It seems if you've done all that you don't really need to take it to the mechanic, the Iridium plugs are good for 100,000km so shouldn't need changing for another 50,000km (assuming they got changed at the 90,000 / 105,000 major services)

From what I remember for my TE the 150,000k service was really just an oil & filters change.

As Craney said the auto trans might need doing if its been a while or if you're noticing "funny" gear changes.
