Really quick question;
anyone know if im going to have any clearance problems with king SL on the fronts with 8inch wide rims? ive got King lows on atm, and the rims do stick outside the body... am i going to shoot myself in the foot by going any lower? Cheers. JM

235/40Z/R18, rims are 18/8 +35 offset i think. watever the normal magna offset is.

I had this exact setup on my KJ, no issues at all.

Should be fine dude, i run 235/35/19's by 8" and have no troubles with the SL so i don't see why you would :)

Sweet. cheers guys, yer my only problem was that with the wheels sticking outside the guard. on a full compression wouldnt it smash the front quarter everytime instead of going under the guard?

The springs SHOULD be stiff enough to prevent this, you'd have to hit a very large bump at a reasonable speed. And even in that circumstance, your front bar would probably hit the ground.

I reckon stick with the springs you've got & spend your money on correct off-set wheels.

$120 for lower suspension or $800+ for new rims, doesnt really balance up. What is a correct off-set?

If the rims stick outside the body then they are the incorrect offset and are illegal. Well, in QLD anyway.
