Been a popular subject of conversation so I'll just update - this is still available through Supercheap ( in Coffs Harbour) price is $208.00

I'll be fitting to my Verada.:woot:

Good good exhaust. Simple bolt on(3.0l and 3.5l). Sounds nice and doesn't drone :D

I actually find the extra torque and performance worth the price .... but then I'm not going to hear it these Xi's have so much sound proofing.

It's fine on autos, I don't notice a drone compared to my brothers 3.5 with extractors and redback exhaust system.

I'm looking at getting one for my tj soon, pretty good bang for your buck mod

Oh you'll hear it, its not exactly quiet like the stock exhaust. They sound a little bit louder than a VRX exhaust, with a similar note.

I might hear it if it was going on the 97 Verada ........

Mine make a lovely 3 or 4 burbles upon decelerating :D. I have a 1997 TF 3.0l V6:beer:

Didn't you just post the thread to say you were putting one on your Verada?

The AL-5597 has a bit of a drone around 2000rpm which can be annoying if you like a quiet ride - but otherwise its just a deeper note. Its not a boy racer unit.

Noticable extra legs in upper revs, although doesnt feel much different down low. Didnt notice any fuel economy improvements....

I think i might need a new muffler ( i only got stock and sounds like its a holey one ;) ) i cant afford mega bucks and i want something that has a nice note, is a lukey the way to go? Also does stock just unbolt and lukey one bolt right up nothing to mod or nething? eg pipes, bolts and what not???

Easy job - the AL4 just bolts straight on with a new gasket (6 bucks at supercheap) and 3 new bolts (as they will probably be ferked!). Its a bit of fiddling around to get the thing into the rubber mounts, but not impossible for the mildly talented dodgy home mechanic.

If you are scared of the spanners though (or the bolts are rusted on), id just take it to an exhaust place. They have the tools and should be hella cheap.

Well when I installed one on Lugo's car I noticed that the flange it bolts to has 3 holes, and the flange on this muffler unit also had 3 holes (whereas the stock muffler bit had 3 studs in it) so you WILL need 3 bolts and nuts to make this work.

If you have a VRX why bother its basically the exact same thing.
