was replacing my cabin lamp bulb and forgot that the switch was on. being lazy to d/c the battery also, i ended up short-circuiting a fuse i think. now, my cabin lamp is out, central locking is out, remote and immobiliser don't work and the trip computer keeps reseting itself everytime i take out the key. now can somebody tell me which fuses might be the faulty ones and how to change them? also, how to reset the remote again?
easiest way to find it is to try them all. should be like, cabin, or interior or room or something, ive done it in my tn before.
resetting the alarm is something like switching from acc to on and back 3 times then pressing one of the buttons, it remote will make a noise or flash or soemthing.
Sorry im just off the top of me head and you said it was urgent.

is there any way to find out the exact way to reset the remote? i read the manual it doesn't say nothin'. the cabin lamp fuse is stuck in together with another fuse and both of them are held down by this big yellow plastic thingy that is clipped to a black socket below. any ideas how to take this out? it's harder than the individual ones where you can just use the pick to pull them out.
no ideas really, i have a TN, however the only option i can offer you is to search the old forums

OK, I've got two answers for you. To reset the remote turn the ignition on and then off 5 times (just round to the on part not to the start part) then press the button on your remote within 5 seconds.
In regard to the fuse you have blown, have you been looking through the fusebox inside the car or the one under the bonnet. The fuse you are looking for should be inside the car and shouldn't be held in by anything special :)

Ditto...
to remove the fuses in side and also under the bonnet ...
they are quite small and in the cover of the internal fuse box ther is a little white pair of plastic tweezers... you use them ... some times you may have to use a pair of needle nosed pliers... but just use as little clamping force as possible.
