Hi, a little while ago I used a little squeegee I got from supercheap auto, I used it on the rhs side mirror to get rid of the water spots. Unfortunately it left a black scuff mark across the mirror. I have tried using different glass cleaners but nothing can remove it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could use to remove the mark without scratching the mirror?
Thanks

Yer prob rubber.
if above does'nt work use a razor blade on an angle a scape softly, dont let the blade did into the glass just slide it across the surface.
Works for lots of things on glass like glue sap and stickers.
Use in conjunction with some glass cleaner to lube the surface first.

Buy new mirrors, and don't clean them.

Okay, I didnt get round to it today but I am going to try the metho etc tomorrow but I am not confident that it will work since I have tried glass cleaner and I would assume that they are basically the same.
Buy new mirrors? Are they hard to install? Where would be a good place to buy them, how much?

Please try this it works! if you need a tool for the job go to bunnings and buy a razor paint scrapper.
The mirror bit is under the glass in the mirror!
Then if not happy go to pick a part and knock your self out with new mirror glass.

I was kidding - obvioiusly the squeegie is crap and I would throw it away, but the glass should clean easily with the razor blade trick - this will remove anything off glass without scratching it - works for bird poop, paint overspray, bitumen, etc. Just don't use sandpaper or wet or dry (or even a kitchen scourer) as they DO scratch!
EDIT: or steel wool!

Not metho mate, use kero as in kerosine.
If you dont have any try the blade on edge as others have said.
Theres no need to replace the mirror as some wags have suggested
