Gday guys, ive got a Pioneer HU like this one

Got it bout 2 months ago, and when i was installing the HU the remote somehow dropped under the center console and was left in there for maybe a day? fairly hot day. Anyway, when i found it again it no longer worked.. guessing it got fried in the heat? Theres nothing visually wrong with it, hasnt melted or anything lol

How to go i go bout to get it replaced/fixed? take it back to autobarn or take it up with pioneer?

Cheers. JM

I would be getting an CD-SR100 steering wheel remote as a replacement.

Costs about $70 and i have it mounted directly to the centre of the steering hub so it sits like the cruise control wand just over the left side. It unclips and can be used in all light.

CD-SR100 (http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Car%20Accessories/CD%20SR100.aspx)

Have you tried changing the batteries? (not sure what type it would take, they are really thin arent they) maybe the heat fried the batteries. Would be cheaper to replace than the remote so it might be worth a try.
