Could anyone tell me if there is an easy way (within reason) to monitor an auto gearbox oil temperature without having to drill and tap casing etc. The car is a TW LS AWD. Thanks in advance for any help.

the automatic trannys have a fluid line, that runs to the front of the car. best bet is to tap a sensor there.
if your not racing it, its a bit of a waste of time and money.
better off just installing a oil cooler instead and be done with it

Thanks for that. I am just curious as to what temp range it works in and was going to log it during a long spirited drive. Just didn't want to have to drill and tap if I could avoid it. Will look at inserting a "T" piece to mount the temp sensor. Thanks again for the info.

i like the N light...even towing in hilly terrain for 8hours straight dont make it come on if your fluid is good
