 All good.
The front ones I wouldnt put in a FWD. I would only put in the rear as it stiffens the rear end. I think putting a fatter front one induces understeer. Or something like that.....someone correct me...

My car (slyts's) wouldn't happen to already have them would they? I think the radas came with them in the 3rd gen range.... still not sure what they do :P

Well it has a front swaybar. Wont have a rear swaybar.
It's SUCH a good handling modification. Seriously worth every penny. car stays so stiff around corners its just awesome.
Although you can bolt the mounts to the car or weld them, I got the mounts welded to the car....

Hey TUFFY im assuming you mean you had the rears welded? as 2nd gens dont have a sway bar as such. Do you have apic of the rear one? or how is fitted to your car?
I would install a thick one on the front only if i had some high spring rated shocks, as they help a LOT provided you already have stiff suspension, the stock item is good for your average king lows/munroes setup.
I can recommend getting the d shackle bushed in polyureathane to suit the stock item, its a worthy investment

yeah there is two L brackets...
You can bolt them to the chassis but instead I took the advice off "kempowen" and got it welded for piece of mind.
No shots unfortunately as you know, no car
When My car is back Ill take as many pictures as you want :P

just thought i'd post and let you guys know, i have got in contact with the seller for the ebay sway bars you guys are discussing, you do not need to buy them as a set, enquire about purchasing them individually, and they can arrange that for you.

If you want to understand the ideas behind Sway Bars (aka Anti-sway bars, aka Roll-bars etc) try Wikipedia.
Also, try CarBibles.com - both have good info, fairly easy to read through and understand.
I have made-do with stock items on front of 3rd Gens. I have a TJ Sports with an OEM rear sway-bar - fitted an aftermarket rear swaybar to KJ Verada, and its an excellent upgrade for handling.
Only hassle I had (and I am not the only member to have had this), the after-market bar - Whiteline - hit on the car's rear suspension - toe control arms on both sides - and after a few arguments with the supplier they modified the bar I bought and have manufactured a new one for me (it isn't on the car yet).

Here are the photos I took for TUFFTR when he was looking at fitting his, and I agree it's the best mod you can do.
And I was advised to get the brackets welded as they could twist with just the bolt.

I had the same problem and it was fixed by moving the fitting out as far to the flange as in this photo, it's the position of the fitting that's at fault not the bar (in my case anyway)

Yeah, the 3rd Gen bars (rear) are fitted differently. Ours have a cheap-ish looking double-eyelet linkage on either side.
At first Whiteline said they had no place to inspect/check my bar, then sent me to local Pedders to be checked (that took 3+ hours), Then we basically had a screaming session over the phone a week or two later, then finally I took my car to Whiteline R&D which had been my original suggestion.
We had fitted our bar correctly, it just didn't have enough "bend" to clear the toe-control arms and the bar I bought didn't conform to their "master" bar for that model either. The workshop guys were great, the office guy was fairly new to company and had originally refused to believe that the bar could be the problem etc etc etc. They slipped my bar off the car, and in half-hour or so had heated it and got it into proper configuration and back on car - a tiny bit more bend gave HEAPS better clearance at the vital spot.
I got them to set it to max setting (its the blade-adjustable type). It's been brilliant since. They made a new bar for me - took a while - but I haven't had a chance to fit that to the car yet.
