thisones been bugging me for ages. when cold it idles up around 1700rpm and slowly drops inline with the temp guage rising. once engine temp is at 1/4 (1/2 is normal for mine) its all like normal. i thought it might be a coolant temp sensor issue or something, but surely if it was it wouldnt change with the coolant getting warmer would it?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
on a lighter note, i seem to have a 'fast' example of a v6 manual. really quick to 100k's. somewhere around 8 seconds dead.

Hey man, My KR does the same thing... revs at 1700rpm when dead cold, then slowly drops down between 700 and 1000rpm after 5mins. then drops more after that. I think its normal, but i could be wrong.

That's just the choke doing what it's meant to do

mine never used to idle this high though. last year, when i first got it (september) it would idle around 1000-1100rpm and then start getting lower.
thanks for the replies though.

As long as the base idle (warm) isnt changing much I wouldn't worry about it.

The weather is hotter in September an average as your coming into Summer.
My does the same thing.
Depends how cold its...cold really cold or bloody really cold lol
I also find if i leave the brake pedal on it will rev higher when first started.
