Hi learned Mitsubishi enthusiasts,
My wife has a much loved '99 KH Verada EI. The OEM double din head unit recently died, so I swapped it out with a single din JVC KD-BT22. I am now in desperate of a pocket to fill the hole in the console.

Our Verada has plastic wood finish, and I have seen a few images here of single din Head units installed with pockets like this one.

I already bought a pocket from my local Mitsubshi $tealership and it is wrong and cant mount to the fascia.
What pocket do I need and where do I buy it ?

There were 2 types of DIN pockets for the 3rd Gen Magnas/Veradas
Ones for cars with climate control and ones for cars without
Make sure you have the climate control one, like the one i had in my Rada

I got mine from Mitsu wrecker Imlachs for around $25 a couple of years ago

Whats the diff between the climate and non climate ones? I have a climate one I pulled outta mine, but if they're different, might hold onto it in case I change back to a single DIN.

I think ( has been a while ) that we used a Aerpro generic one and made it fit in a GTV. Not that had just attached it to the support frames that hold in the headunit.

Climate one screws into the cage from the sides, non-climate clips in.

Thanks for the info guys. All your installs look factory fresh too..
The tool at the local Dealership, which has just started selling mitsusbishi and is primarily a Holden dealer, must have ordered the wrong one, it has tabs either side of the pocket to mount to the fascia. Clearly not for a Climate air car !

Can any one provide a part number to ensure I get the right one, or recommend a dealer in Sydney that will sell me the right part.

Rhys, our car is the same colour as the one in your avatar, you dont see it to often.

Thanks,

Wayne.

Part number on mine is MB877180. Has 3 lugs on either side for screwing into the frame of the fascia.

Mine (pictured in OP) was just a generic one. It didn't fit in at all.. i had to graffa tape two bits of wood to wither side of it so it was a tight fit within the bracket, then i screwed in to the wood and it locked in place.
Ghetto behind the scenes, but up front you wouldn't know the difference ;)
