i know, i know its been covered, with the error codes and all

just wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms.

its a tr 2.6 auto efi

last night left my mates house and it was pausing about a 3/4 of a second every time i put it in reverse.

then on the way home on the freeway gave a slight jolt and the engine light came on for about 5 seconds.

got home without pushing it too much, thought id play around with it for a bit and was changing between reverse and neutral several times (about 5 times) and on the 4th go the revs dropped more than usual and check engine light came on for a couple of seconds, and then went away..

weird, anyone had similar?

took a look at the car and noticed that a small rubber pipe was broken

its the 2mm pipe that goes from the top of the throttle body (just under the lettering A.P.F.) to a black terminal on top of the firewall. i cut the broken piece off and it was still long enough for me to put it back on. could that be the cause? whats the pipe there for?

warmed up the car, checked that oil was fine, coolant fine, all plugs plugged in fine, still need to clean the air filter though, or replace it.. just nothing is open today.. so cleaning is the key.
