Hey fellas.

Is there any reason you need a distrobution block for 2 amps? i got 4ga going to one amp, could i just cut off some insulation and put 8ga on it which is going to the smaller amp?

thanks

that way will probably work but its dodgy as hell when it takes 15 mins to do it right. Up to you

for the $5 a cheapy distrobution block would cost you, do it right the first time...

if it's just 2 cables.... as long as the lugs have full contact with the terminal on the main amp (like it's not twist taped, and shoved in there) i can't see a reason why you couldn't..

i mean i have a single 4ga running to the back of mine, with a d-block.. but really.. it works the same.. the D-block would be the proper way of doing it.. making it all neat.. and showing a bit of pride in your work.. it's the only way to do things in my opinion..

yeah i put one in, makes it so much more professional.
i installed one in my boot with a volt meter built in, to show me remaining battery voltage, so i know when im getting close to not starting my car.
hooked up the volt meter to my interiour boot light, so it only came on when the lid was opened

Lowrider - just letting you know, continually draining your battery below 80% (if its a normal battery) will kill it very fast.

ers: not to mention the strain on the electrical system ie alternator and startermotor

That too, though starter motor wont really care.

Alternator might have something to say about doing a lot of extra work.

P.S Lowrider - 75% of your battery is around 12.3 volts (its been covered in another battery thread) basically, thats probably the point you start the car (which will then suck a bit of power aswell).

In short - your battery must hate you....be sure to check it regulary for enough water in the cells.

Buy an Optima or Oddesey. Will have no problems :D
