can someone please tell me what my engine type is.
I know it is the 3.0L V6
But is is 12 or 24 Valve and is it SOHC or DOHC?
It is an inteference engine?
The car is a 1995 TS Magna
i think the timing belt needs doing on it so want to know all details. Does the engine mount on the passenger side need to be removed to replace the belt?
thanks

All the Aus built cars came with a 12 valve SOHC, not sure on the other questions though.

The Mitsubishi 6G72 12v is an interference engine. If the belt goes, so does your engine.
I've had one of these engines die that way.

Hi
the 12v v6 is an interference! but only just.
If it breaks you might be lucky but if not Bang New engine...eg valves bent head job and maybe new pistons.
Most mechs charge a small fortune to replace as its a fiddle job to get to the belt. All labor.
the belt itself is under $100.00. I'd use a delco belt but that's my opinion.
If you have a user manual and some mech knowledge give it a go, also have a good tool kit.
If you do have a go make sure when the old belt is off you don't move the cams or crank when fitting new belt or you;ll be in all kinds or grieve.
If you would like a how to from the manual let me now via pm.

Not true in the 3000GT SOHC's apparently. (this is why they are "liked" compared to the DOHC's for DD purposes)
Different pistons were used lowering compression and making it non interferance, Again, this is what I have read several times off the 3000GT forums, just passing the info on...
Yes the pass side engine mount has to come off (and the bracket) as the belt runs through the engine mount bracket.
