Having trouble deciding what to go with.
Im getting different info from auto shops and im worried ill end up with a ride height im not happy with, looked into king lows but the guy from king springs said they wont drop the vrx at all??
So im hoping i can get some part numbers for some springs, and some centre hub to wheel arch measurements so i know what im gonna be getting.

King Lows dropped my VR-X 39mm (the installer measured it before and after). Remember, the VR-X springs are only 5-10mm lower than standard springs. I posted before and after photos here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49982).
Unless you're looking for a 'slammed' look, you should be more than happy on the Lows.

Plus with the VRX flares it looks even lower. Look at HRD2GT members machine thread to see what a VRX on lows looks like.

Ok cheers guys, i'd def be happy with that ride height.
Its funnt though that after measuring mine with stock springs the bloke at king springs said it wouldnt lower the car much at all, 10mm at the most.

I'm not sure about the TJ VR-X, but my TL with the VR-X front was lower to start with than the standard TL bar, so the car is lower than a regular TL. Is that true with the TJ?
I went SL's in the front and it looks great, though some driveways can be a problem (and a mammoth speedbump I went over this morning :eek2: )

Depends on how many km you have on your car. For example, if you have 50,000km then i would retain the stock shocks. But if you have 100,000km then i would replace them.

The km figures i used above were just an example. In your case i prolly would change shocks with the springs. I did the same to mine when i was at 86,000km and the difference was definitely noticable.

If your paying someone to fit them then your gonna save labour costs if you do it all at once.
Ill be fitting mine myself so im just doing springs for now, ill do the shocks later when they are actually needed.

Im a fan of changing shocks when installing lowered springs. Most people that used to come into the workshop had shocks that were long overdue for a change. It seems that most shocks dont last over 50,000km on Aussie roads, and putting in lowered springs just causes them to die sooner.
Im also a big fan of getting shocks revalved for the different spring rates, but, I can see how this isnt the best option for those just wanting to lower their car a bit.
Also guys, please keep in mind that when you lower your car your going to upset things such as camber (not to much of an issue), scrub radius, aswell as the general balance of the car, ie, the front control arms are going tobe sitting flat, rather than low.
