Does the 380 have a cabin air filter? Rang spare parts and they had no idea. Ryco don't list one on their website either.

Just had a good look through the HACV section of the 380 manual and no trace of a cabin air filter.

Pollen filter would be what I'm after, in the Falcon they are the same thing. Is the OEM one the best, or is there an aftermarket one?
For the Falcon I get the Ryco charcoal filter.

Doing some investigating due to a issue with ryco oil filters(I was looking for an alternative oil filter) and came across FRAM and a few other companies that have a Cabin air filter for the 2005 galant which is the 380
I found it on Amazon (its my new friend)

Going to rip out the glove box on tuesday and see where it sits
if I do find something either way I will let you all know and I will get one of these from amazon

Hi guys,
I would like to change the cabin air filter on Magna TJ 2001 - i have no idea where it is located. i tried to look into glove box but from my experience with Toyota - it is very complicated to unscrew all the bolts and screws to get in. not for an amateur like me. could you please help me where is it located or is it a job for a mechanic?
thanks.
marcel
AFAIK the magna/verada does not have a cabin air filter. I don't think the 380 has one as well otherwise it'll be mentioned in the manual as does our outlander. It has sections on how to maintain the filter. Something like that won't be hiden in the dark recesses of the dash. It should be readily accessible for maintenance.

Ok, found this today but haven't joined to see the pics. The 9g Galant does indeed have a cabin air filter available. The cars don't seem to come with them but can be installed.

I think you will find that the 2004 Galant is not the 380 twin :ninja:

I don't think the dash has to come apart, this is an OEM style thing and something that has to be replaced at regular intervals. It's like having to take the engine out to replace the engine air filter!
Anyhow, these guys have International shipping and a number of choices, including OEM it seems:
