One for the collective to help with. Am about to do the twin pot caliper/rotor conversion but was wondering if anyone has done the rear caliper/rotor as well. Since I still have the old rada at my disposal I thought I may as well do the rears at the same time. Any tips, pics or otherwise would be helpful. Will take pics as I go and post em up when Im finished.

Hi

Dont think alot can be done with the rears depending on what you already have in there.

I done my fronts (Dba 4000 series slotted and Bendix ultimate, std one pot calipers works awesome)and am looking at the rears also. I have a wagon with solid discs rear.

Does your have solid or vented rears. abs non abs. Rears.

I would say from what i've heard around the traps that the best way to go would be trying to go rear vented slotted and some good pads as i dont believe there is any descent upgrade for the caliper.,so just overhaul them or get ones suited to the vented disc if needed. The rear doesn't do a lot of the braking but its nice to know there better than std.

Also once the rears are modded you may need to look at the bias valve?

let the debate commence lol.

Yeah only diff is the rears are vented...I wouldnt bother changing them If I had to buy calipers but since they are already there why not, I put slotted's on the rear of mine aswell just because I can :P

Good pads, try QFM's available from Brakes Plus, Havent tested mine YET But apparently these are very good bang for buck

Mine are solid..! bugger. also have to suit the drum hand brake in the middle.

love to go the vented......but the caliper has to suit?

vented are a lot thicker, hence a new caliper. or at least a pick a part job?

what is the model number of your rears as you state that there DBA's in your main page.

any way may the brakes be with you..lol

cheers.

They will bolt straight onto any sedan as will the fronts.

Fronts, need new brake hoses as the metal line to the master cyl is different

Rears same

Thanks Mal. I read the sticky for the front so was aware of the hose issue for them. Will have to make sure I get the rear hoses of rada as well so that they can make them up for me. Luckily my local brake workshop can send them away to be made up.

Cheers Neil
