Just wondering if a VRX TL rear bar will fit my TJ?

Yes it would but you'd also need to change to a TL/W Bootlid

Im pretty sure its the top part wont line up with the TJ lights, plus the lower corners of the bootlid are a different shaped curve to the TL one

I scored a KL bootlid thanks to DVS and haven't got around to fitting it yet, also going to match it up with some KJ tail lights and was wondering what my options would be on fitting a different rear bar.

Was thinking:

-option 1/Keep TJ vrx bar and fit KL bootlid with KJ tails OR
-option 2/TL VRX bar, KL bootlid, KJ tails

Will any of these work and what problems will I run into or what would my options be?

kl tails with kl bootlid dude. cant really get away with kj's on a kl lid they will stick up a bit. as for the bumperkeep the kj lid if your gonna keep the tj bumper otherwise the curves in the kl will make it look like ur bumper isnt fitted properly. full kl conversion with tl vrx bar i think!!

It all makes sense but dont KL tails fit a TJ or do the KL tails have a different slope at the top of the assembly?

KJ tails and TJ tails are the same shape which match at the top of a TJ lid but as mentioned in a for sale thread that KL tails fit a TJ which is the reason why I thought vice versa, KJ tails with KL lid?

Please correct me if I am wrong as I am a bit of a noob :redface:

kl's are a bit more rounded on the top edge to match the rounded boot lid so if ya put kl's on a tj lid its a little bit of a gap but not too drastic. however doing it the other way around the sharper kj lights will stick up over the kl lid, not by much of course but probably more noticable then the other way around.

another thing you need to take in is that you have to find a way to fit the rear flares or you could just leave them off
also the TL bumper has plastic screw clips along the top of the bar which you can see once the bootlid is open
if you were to get a TL VRX bar you would need to make sure these holes arent there
