Hey Magna maniacs,

My TJ seems to have a fuel leak somewhere but I'm unable to detect it. I can smell fuel inside the car when it's usually idling. Got any ideas? I know the cam plate 'o' ring needs replacing but I'm not sure if that's related to the fuel leak.

Also, does anyone have any pics and instructions on changing the cam plate 'o' ring?

Appreciate some advice.

take your back seat out and make sure it's all sealed up.

Check the return line as its low pressure but may be soft or leaking.

if it was on the high pressure side should squirt out if leaking.(sometimes)

Also check for oil leaks as they stink like ......and will get to the cabin.

from what you say i'd go an oil leak.

clean motor and try......

if you do have a fuel leak get onto it ASAP.................

more info needed but i was never here! fuel prob no responsibility...... fix it fix it.

look under car along the fuel lines ...etc.

Also some fumes from oil on engine will go to cabin. check firewall seals ect. aswell.

Might sound dumb but try and see if it smells from around the fuel filler.
I had the same prob in my KJ and it just ended up being the fuel cap. The breather/seals had gone. A new cap and problem solved. U can usually smell it around the fuel cap though.
