Hi All,

im sick of this blue-grey interior and crappy material on the door cards, so im going to re-trim and spray.

so i have come up with this idea:
- spray the panel black
- door cards retrimmed with either grey leather or vinyl material
- the lip of the door shelf sprayed same as the rest of the dash which is called "Platinum Silver"
- depending on how it look in the end, but may respray the door handle surround black instead of the current silver
- spray the speaker cover that Platinum silver and maybe put a chrome ring around it?
- and i might install the door lights

so what do you all think?
i have got spare door cards which i have ripped off the material, and it looks like the original material was stuck on with a spray adhesive, is this the best way to apply the new material?
also any advice on this would be great!
cheers

Have you considered spraying the carpet as well? It looks a bit out of place now, IMHO.

Also, wouldn't now be the time to do a power window conversion?

nah power windows isnt really an option, im not fussed with the handles.

i thought about spraying the carpet, also the image does have a big of a blue cast to it, as the carpet is grey so looks decieving on the pic, i will leave it to last if it does look out of place, easy to take off and spray accordingly

Im thinkin about doing my door cards in something different aswell, im pretty sure it would be spray adhesive that you wanna use. Would be easy as to do.

Also if your putting in the courtesy lights might aswell get the clear diamante ones

so of those who have done this before, have you placed a thin foam layer on before the trim? i feel i should do this..cuz i was just doing the final preps to stick it on and there is next to no padding...

your not wrong about the corners there, i just used a contact adhesive and no padding, just brush let dry a little stick then curse about the corners

i used spray adhesive and then the paint on adhesive for a better grip around the edges...straight leather onto the cards
