View Full Version : Removing brake light in vrx wing

How is the brake light fitted in the 3rd gen vrx/sports wings?

im assuming its clipped in but im not game to try anything until i know for sure

Hey mate its got 2 screws that hold in it, they are little plastic covers over them at either end of the light. The power cord cant be disconnected from the back of the light from memory, there is a connection point that you should be able to see if you open the boot and look to the right hand side, inside the shell of the boot.

Thanks mate. The plastic covers must blend in pretty well, at a glance i didnt see any obvious places where screws would be

Yeh they sure do, they are very similar to the plastic the light itself is made out of, just grab a pin or similar to pry the covers off. What are you taking it out for mate, if you dont mind me asking?

Im gettin some blacked out tails so im thinkin i might hit the wing light with night shade so it doesnt look out of place

Awesome, i wanna do the same one day but i wanna get another boot lid so i can change back if i feel like it.

heres a glance, i never thought of it looking out of place,
i was also going to do it, but thought thats less light going to the driver behind me to notice, is it worth the extra risk for somthing that allmost wont even get noticed??????
mind you this pic is with the sun shining right into the lights
