is there a button/lever anywhere? or is there a bolt somewhere. or do tey not tilt forward at all.

thought i'd ask before i go pulling stuff apart and wasting my time.

There's a ski port in the centre of the rear seats that folds down. Just turn up da bass :2cool:

i have 2 12 inch 800wrms subs in the boot, and one 300rms sub on back parcel shelf.
it is really loud in the boot, but the car is like half as loud. it seems silly to turn the subs up really loud and wear them out sooner, along with the amp, when i could possibly do something recline seats......

see the thing is, mine are facing backwards, and the box blocks the arm rest thing.....

turn down the other components, then just turn the volume knob up more.

Ok, trying to be a little more constructive here.
AMC member Bigs has designed fiberglass 12" sub enclosures that sit in front of the tail lights for 3rd gens.
His construction thread is here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57147). He was actively marketing them at one stage. PM him and see if he can make you a pair.
At the least there's some good photo's in the thread and gives you an idea of what can be done.
