i noticed that with my alarm if you wind the window down and then lock the doors using the remote that i can open the door and the alarm does not go off is this normal? if i do the bonnet it will go off about a min later.
im also thinking about installing a aftermarket alarm but do i have to disconect the factory one
what i want to do is have an alarm but not conected to central locking and use the factory one can this be done?

If it's the drivers door it shouldn't go off, Other doors will. It's all in the manual

are you giving the alarm time to activate?
normally have to wait about 30 seconds or so
you can buy upgrade kits for the magnas, you keep the standard remotes but have the extra features (shock sensor etc)

You have to wait 20 to 30 seconds. You can also wait until the security light in the dash goes out. Opening any door, boot or bonnet will set off the alarm.
