well i was washing my windows today, pulled up the wipers to clean the windscreen, put them down afterwards, then filled up the washer bottle. went to test it and yep all good. later on i noticed that i mustve knocked the wiper blade off the wiper a bit and the end metal bit is exposed, and has scratched my windscreen in a big circle shape!
first off, is it fixable? i know the answer is no in my heart haha :D
how much for a new windscreen? would like to know just for kicks, im totally willing to put up with it for a few years :D

it'll buff out :D
seriously tho, go down to your local windscreen place and see what they have to say, not sure if they can be fixed or not depends on how deep the scratch is
could always check with your insurance to see if you get a free windscreen, some normally give you one free a year

hahaha im thinking of maybe trying some 100grit wet sanding? :eek2:
the scratch looks pretty small, it actually just looks like a nice straight smudge except i cant rub it off :doubt: but yeah ill ask a windscreen place somewhere just for a quote
and no comprehensive insurance :( sadly!

mate was ripping a mooney at my soccer coach after training and it hit my rearview mirror off with his head, took a chunk of glass out...he said he would pay but eh, i felt bad because i told him to do the mooney.
lol so anyway, got it replaced and yeah scratched it about two weeks later, so annoying aswell that my last service they didnt replace the wiper blades!

When I bought the TF it had a myriad of tiny scratches in an arc on the inside, in front of the steering wheel. We worked out it was someone wiping the windscreen and their ring scratched the glass. I waited until it was almost the end of the 12 months and got it replaced on insurance.
Just recently I got a baad crack replaced in the Commodore, cost was $400, I paid $190

My windscreen is stratched too, thanks to some dodgy windscreen wiper blades. I've tried to polish them out with some decent polish compounds (Poorboys SSR2.5/1 by machine and by hand) but to no avail. Trying to polish it out will take the 'edge' off it, but it definitely won't get rid of it. If it really bugs you, it's time for a new windscreen :(
