Hey people well today i finally did it. I installed the Monroe GT Gas Shocks and the lowered King Springs. Woohoo.. I have a Go-Kart again. I need to get an Adjustable Panhard rod still, as lowering the rear of the car pushes the rear axle over towards the passenger side of the car :(

But i will have that probally tomorrow.

The Springs cost $240 for all 4 of em.
I carnt remember the price for the shocks. i think they were around 300.

The rear is easy to do. Remove the boot internal covers and undo the 2 nuts at the top of the shock. then jack her up and take off wheels and undo 1 nut, take the bolt out and thats pretty much it.

Front was a little trickey at first. Take off the dust coveres off the top of the strut and undo the big nut. (Dont undo the 2nd nut leave it till u get the strut out)
jack her up again, take wheels off, undo 2 nuts and remove 2 bolts and pull old strut out.

Thats pretty much it.

I needed Spring Compressors to put the lowered springs on the new shocks. I will post a pic of it when i get the Panhard rod and have it all alligned properly.

I'm gonna get mine lowered as soon as all my mechanical problems are done so its looking like sooner then expected, maybe mid next month, where did you get your shocks from? 300 for all 4 is nice, im gonna get some whiteline hear off megatron, swaybar and brace and springs. whats a panhard rod, ive heard of it but dont know what it is/does

Hey guys, the panhard rob (well this is wot i got told it was and when i asked at car shop they did not laugh at me so must be it) hehehe is the bar on the rear axle that goes from the passenger side of axle to driver side of chassis. Look at your rear axle and u will see if.

When u lower a car with this rod it moves the rear axle over towards the passenger side of car a bit. U can get an adjustable one that u can adjust to fix this.. I just messaged him but still no price yet

I got the parts from Thompsons here in Brisbane at the Capalaba Store. The prices i got are Trade prices so u will need to find a mechanic that will order em in for u. My mate did it.

It handles very well atm. just like it did when i first got it. i will post pics when i get the rod.

it handles great. went for big drive today and its like a go kart again... :D :D

But i found out that u can not get an Adjustable Panhard Rod for the early magna... GAYNESS

but got told to call a suspension place and they might know.. so i will make some calls through the week.

But it handles very well 96% no body roll.
