Have water coming out the rear seat belt tensioners and then running down onto rear seat[Both Sides]

Any Ideas

Sounds like a rear windscreen leak. Whats the seals like around your window? Perished at all? Is there any signs of rust around the rubber strip?

Yeah look under the rear cargo area carpet at the wood board. If your rear side windows are leaking(very common) then the boards will be wet or have water stains on them.
If this is the case, you can just take it to a reputable windscreen shop and they will take them out, clean them up and re-seal them. Shouldn't cost much at all.

thanks for the replies but i dont think that is where the water is coming from

above the rear side windows where the gutter is is a channel that goes inside the car [can put wire in there and it goes towards the front of car and down the rear pillar] was not blocked where does this channel go

Not sure about that one mate. I don't think they have a drain hole there. Interesting.

iaaan, do you know the cars history? Has the roof panel been changed, maybe due to hail damage? Could have been a shoddy repair job is all.

What i have noticed is that the wagons and sedans with chrome strips have a gap between the body and seal.
The ones without chrome the seal goes straight to the body.[maybe no leaks with them]
I think i might silicone between the seal and body and see what happens.

i had the same problem all i did was remove the window and re seal the whole top edge. the hole that your talking about isnt meant to be there cause the water cant drain out the bottom.

I assume you are talking about a third gen wagon

Even though is an old thread will reply anyway

Mits used a foam seal in the side windows that with time goes hard and does not seal. To fix...

Remove internal trim
Remove nuts and remove windows, they are not glud in
Remove old seal
Use MASTIC to reseal, DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE or you will never get these out again EVER!!!
DO NOT USE SILICON ON A CAR< it is acidic and will create more issues than you can realise

To the OP, if not fixed, feel free to drop over as I am curious about this hole you have found

Coventry's would be your best bet to find it, they seem to have anything trade related in a can or tube.
